How to Schedule Your
Excelsior College Examination (ECE)
Date at a Pearson Vue Testing Center
Much like Excelsior College, it is best to schedule your test date with Pearson Vue online. While you can call them to do this, they have hired a call center in Pakistan to handle these calls - no, I'm not joking. Many of our students have had difficulties being understood and their test dates were messed up. So, I'm a big believer in using technology to avoid human error whenever possible. Also, they charge you $10.00 for each transaction by telephone. You can avoid this fee by scheduling online.
Before you contact Pearson Vue, you must wait 48 - 72 hours after you pay Excelsior College. This allows time for their computers to "talk". If Pearson Vue's computer has not received your payment information from Excelsior College, they will be unable to schedule your test date. If you have not yet paid Excelsior College for the examination, click here for instructions, then come back to this page:
Okay, assuming you are ready to schedule your test date, go to:
You will notice 4 tabs on their home page (towards the top of the page). Click on the tab labeled "Test Taker Services". You will notice 2 boxes that require responses from you. Choose "Academic/Admissions" in the first box and "Excelsior College" in the second box. This will take you to a new page called "Excelsior College Examinations".
Click on the link labeled "Schedule a Test" on the right side of the web page.
Note: If this is your first time scheduling an examination on Pearson Vue's website, you will have to create an account first. To do this, click here:

Generally, they book up about 3 weeks in advance, so plan ahead.
Should you need to reschedule your exam, you can do so without penalty if you reschedule more than 48 hours in advance. If it is less than 48 hours, you will need to call Pearson Vue's Customer Service Department at 888-926-9488.
Keep in mind that Please there is a $10 charge for every call center based transaction, including scheduling, rescheduling or canceling an appointment to test.
